1. Take or choose a photo
Take a photo of the tattoo along with a measuring tape that lies flat against the skin. Take the photo directly in front of the tattoo, not at an angle.
The photo must include:
- The tattoo is fully in frame
- The measuring tape lies on the skin in the same plane
- The photo is taken straight-on, not at an angle
- 1 cm is clearly visible on the tape
Mark two points on the measuring tape that are 1 cm apart (or the reference length set in the editor).
How to do it:
- Find a clear 1 cm on the tape — for example from 0 to 1 or from 3 to 4
- Drag the red points so the ends sit exactly on those marks
- You can also grab the line itself and move it as a whole
- The line should follow the tape, not the tattoo — it is only a 1 cm scale
- If the line is in the wrong place, tap the photo away from the points and mark two new ends
Trace the tattoo by tapping along its outline. Finish by tapping “Done” or tapping the first point.
How to do it:
- Tap the tattoo edge and follow the outline — point by point
- You need at least 3 points to make an area
- Finish by tapping the first (start) point — that closes the outline
- If a point is off, drag it. The first point can be dragged only after closing
- To start over, use “Delete outline”
