Onda PRO uses high-frequency microwave energy in the 2.45 GHz range—the manufacturer, DEKA, refers to this technology as Coolwaves®. The energy selectively increases molecular vibrations in fatty tissue, creating a controlled, localized increase in temperature beneath the skin, while the handheld device’s built-in cooling system protects the skin’s surface from overheating throughout the entire procedure.

Cooling of the skin throughout the irradiation area

Each handheld device cools the skin while heating it—the temperature can be set from 5 °C to 22 °C. This allows the heat to penetrate deeper without placing excessive strain on the skin’s surface.
